Case study: Totum Sport


Totum Sport is a thriving online store selling 100% natural sports supplements. Currently selling to the UK, IE and US markets, they have ambitious plans to scale up the business to new markets across the globe in the medium to long term.

Whilst Totum already has a loyal customer base and a good history of reviews and endorsements from high profile athletes, the company identified the need to improve their web presence and wider customer journey in order to reach their targets for the business.


Following initial discussions with Totum Sport, we recommended a website scoping workshop to help identify website objectives and to determine and articulate an effective customer journey.

This involved gaining a deeper understanding of the company, brand, their products and USPs. We looked at these alongside the company’s immediate targets and long-term strategic goals and devised a web solution to help the business increase sales and exceed monthly targets whilst also creating a platform from which to reach new markets and achieve long term growth.

The new site addressed the UX pitfalls of Totum’s previous website by providing a more streamlined and intuitive web structure. We also improved the content of the site to engage more effectively with customers, eliminating a lot of highly scientific content in favour of simpler, more impactful messaging whilst still educating customers about the products and authenticating effectiveness.

We also created a robust and responsive eCommerce solution, providing a positive shopping experience for customers whilst also allowing for greater control by the client, something that was identified as a key deliverable in the website scoping workshop.
