Case study: Browns Cosmetics


Browns Cosmetics is an independent online retailer specialising in the sale of bath bombs, soaps, candles, cosmetics and fragrances. The brand has been selling its range of products from its shop in South Shields and via eBay since it launched in 2016.

Whilst the business had a strong customer base in its local area, as Browns Cosmetics expanded, it recognised the need for a new website from which to sell its range of products more widely and to bring the business in line with its competitors. dodio was approached by Browns Cosmetics to develop a website solution for them.


We worked closely with Browns to get a clear understanding of their vision, requirements and expectations for the website and we designed and created a responsive and visually appealing e-commerce site to fit their brief.

This involved advising on product photography and descriptions and importing over 800 products to the site. We set up a secure online payments system using PayPal and provided bespoke training to members of the Browns team to enable them to easily manage the site in house.

We’re delighted with the website dodio have created for us. Not only is it a great reflection of our brand, it has also enabled us to promote and sell our products to new audiences, increasing our sales and ROI.
